Mary’s Journey to Triumph: Support Her Brave Fight Against Cancer.

In January, Mary, a vibrant yet fragile soul, arrived at our doors, another young life touched by Neuroblastoma, a challenge all too familiar in Uganda. Hindered further by malnutrition, her condition had left her remarkably weak, undermining her body’s natural strength to fight. Despite these hurdles, Mary recently underwent successful surgery to remove a malignant tumor from her neck. However, the road ahead seems daunting as she must undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments. This process involves frequent travel from her village to the hospital for scheduled treatments via public transportation, which her family cannot afford. Moreover, she will need nutritional support to meet the necessary blood count requirements for receiving chemotherapy.

At Rehema Health Foundation, we stand firm in the belief that every child, no matter their background, is entitled to high-quality healthcare. This principle drives our mission to provide extensive medical treatment and support to children like Mary facing the grim reality of cancer. Mary is among the many young lives we’ve had the privilege to support, thanks to the unfaltering generosity of our donors. Every cost associated with her surgery, from the operation itself to the crucial post-operative care and medication, was fully covered through these donations. Our dedicated team, comprising seasoned doctors and compassionate nurses, ensured Mary received the utmost care and treatment round-the-clock.
