Keep a Child in Treatment

Lack of transportation is the leading cause of treatment abandonment for childhood cancer in Uganda. When families can’t afford the journey to the hospital, children miss chemotherapy sessions and tumors grow back. Lives are lost not because treatment doesn’t exist, but because families simply can’t get there.

Our transportation program solves this. We cover the cost of travel to and from treatment, and between sessions, we send children home — even if home is a mud hut. Why? Because being surrounded by their family, their community, and everything they know gives them the emotional strength to keep fighting. Cancer is a long journey, and home is where children find the courage to continue.

$50 covers one month of transportation for a child in active treatment.
