Christine

Meet Christine, a valued and loved member of her village in Uganda. She was diagnosed with Cancer, a high-grade osteosarcoma. She underwent a difficult surgery to remove the large cancerous tumor which included her right arm and shoulder. Bishop Vincent Watolya served as her patient advocate in Uganda for many months, while Dr. Noel Funderburk, in America, worked diligently to raise the necessary funds. A friend of mine that was aware of the dire and struggling situation, reached out to me. With the help of a very dear friend of mine, his friends and medical professionals at Baylor College and Texas Children’s Hospital, and Global Hope, Christine was able to have the surgery within two weeks in Kampala, Uganda just a few hour travel from her home. Though her recovery was difficult, Christine is now happily at home with her family and is viewed as a miracle by her village family.
